М. Ц.: Я не ищу вдохновения, оно не покидает меня никогда. У меня очень насыщенная жизнь, я рада, что каждый день приносит мне новые задачи, новые эмоции.

Perfect: Наверное, мало кто поспорит, но ваш бренд невозможно представить без плюшевых костюмов, которые, только появившись, на долгие годы полюбились как звездам, так и простым покупательницам. Как вы относитесь к такому обожанию россиянок в первую очередь к практичным и удобным вещам?
М. Ц.: Сейчас очень популярен стиль сорт-шик, а значит, без удобных костюмов или одежды в таком стиле не обойтись. Даже в спортивном костюме можно выглядеть сексуально, женственно и модно.
Нужно не бояться этого, не бояться и смело выражать свою индивидуальность.
Смело надевайте под юбку или платье кроссовки или кеды, это очень стильно и удобно. В моей новой коллекции будут спортивные костюмы, но они будут легкими летними, зато в коллекции есть очень приятное к телу бархатное платье модного в этом сезоне цвета фуксии. В нем вы не останетесь незамеченной, а носить его одно удовольствие.

Perfect: Почему в вашей зимней коллекции центральным образом было выбрано изображение суровой советской женщины с агитационного плаката?
М. Ц.: Все просто: моя бабушка, Нина Николаевна Ватолина — автор знаменитого плаката «Не болтай», написанного в 1941 году. Мне кажется, в наше время эта фраза очень актуальна, поэтому данный постер и слоган красуются на свитшотах, майках и футболках одной из моих коллекций.

Perfect: У вас очень творческая семья. Ваши мама и папа — художники. Как, на ваш взгляд, творческая атмосфера повлияла на ваш выбор стать дизайнером? И кем хотели видеть вас родители?
М. Ц.: Я родилась в семье художников. Один дедушка был живописцем, другой — известным скульптором, а бабушка рисовала плакаты. Мама и папа тоже были людьми искусства. Родители дали мне хорошее образование, за что им огромное спасибо.
Я училась в Строгановском училище, правда не закончила его, мне стало скучно. Зато я отправилась в Великобританию, в London College of Fashion, где начала обучение по специализации фэшн-маркетинг.
Вернувшись, я начала стилизовать клипы по просьбам друзей, здесь-то и пришло осознание, что я хочу стать дизайнером и выпускать свои коллекции, а родители меня только поддерживали в любых моих начинаниях.

Perfect: Как вы относитесь к молодым дизайнерам, которые только начинают делать первые шаги в этой сфере? Ведь сегодня не только звезды, но и, например, светские львицы именуют себя дизайнерами. Можно ли их вообще, по вашему, мнению отнести к этой профессии?
М. Ц.: Сейчас очень много дизайнеров, которые шьют реплики на известные мировые бренды.
Возможно, они хорошо зарабатывают, но я не думаю, что это как-то связано с творчеством, с дизайном. Возьмем, например, нашумевшее платье-комбинацию из бархата: такие платья сшило каждое второе ателье в городе и они все совершенно одинаковые.
Быть дизайнером — это не просто «увидел» и повторил, дизайнер должен создавать свое или брать всеми любимую вещь и добавлять свою изюминку.

Perfect: Как проходит обычный день Маши Цигаль, сколько времени вы отдаете работе?
М. Ц.: Я всегда очень рано встаю. День у меня действительно очень насыщенный, помимо своих коллекций я создаю коллаборации и с другими известными брендами (например, совсем скоро выходит линия женского белья BeMe, которую мы создали совместно с нью-йоркским брендом).
Помимо этого, у меня много съемок, по возможности я стараюсь посещать интересные мероприятия. 3—4 раза в неделю я хожу в спортзал и занимаюсь йогой. А еще я DJ, у меня много гастролей по России и миру. Это тоже интересное увлечение, которое мне не хочется бросать. Все нужно успеть, отказаться от любимых дел или увлечений я не могу.

Perfect: Можете ли вы назвать себя абсолютно счастливым человеком и есть ли что-то, что пока не удалось воплотить в жизнь? Возможно, это какие-то непокоренные вершины… Или желание бросить все и уехать жить в другую страну…
М. Ц.: Я счастлива, у меня есть любимое успешное дело и моя любимая семья. Все свои идеи и желания мне удается воплощать в жизнь.
Я очень люблю Москву, очень люблю ее бешеный ритм, это абсолютно мой город, и переезжать насовсем я пока не собираюсь. Но есть еще очень любимый мной город Лондон. Каждый год я стараюсь ездить в Лондон на пару месяцев.
Это тоже моя родина, здесь я училась, здесь я работала, создавала коллекции и ставила показы. У меня там параллельная жизнь, друзья и работа. Можно сказать, что я живу на два города, но большую часть времени я, конечно же, провожу в Москве.
